“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them — work, family, health, friends and spirit — and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls ~ family. health, friends and spirit — are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked. nicked. damaged or even shattered.” — Brian Dyson, Ex-CEO, Coca Cola
I frankly didn’t know how to play the game of Life! …
During these unprecedented times, our lives have certainly changed.
From working at companies and traveling for work across the globe has come to a standstill or dwindled in the recent months!
Getting accustomed to working from home for many, would have seemed easy at the start but for some it could have taken a toll. To be productive at work and to spend quality time with family might have been a challenge for many.
In the midst of all this, there could have been situations where procrastination would have seeped in. …
Building Genuine connects or relationships at work goes a long way for anyone!
This applies to even our personal relationships or just about any relationship in this world.
Having authentic connects helps one to grow a business based on trust, integrity irrespective of what the end-result would be for the company.
In my experience of networking with people from varied fields and walks of life, I have learnt a few things which are mentioned below:
I guess I was quite the hoarder and I loved to hold onto things.
I am mostly talking about the physical things but I also held onto thoughts; the same old conflicting thoughts on life, on people, on everything!
And I also held onto a routine, I would rather call it as a regime!
I gather I had lived my life in my Mind for most of my Life. And when I was faced with a dimension that was not in my perspective, I was overwhelmed and intrigued.
The past 4 years have helped me to seek the beauty of Life; by meeting and learning from people from various walks of life, by exploring avenues which were completely new to me, by traveling in the vales and mountains of Himalayas and Western Ghats and by exploring different dimensions or perspectives through Yoga and Meditation. …
There have been times when we have expected a certain outcome after reaching a target or a milestone but then when it didn’t happen did we lose hope or did we move on.
For instance, let say you started a new project and you expected to reach 100 people with your work. When that didn’t happen did you lose focus?
Well somethings may not be in our hands to control or steer to our favorable destination.
But we can be laser focused and keep going on and not bothering about the expectations / results. All we need to be is utterly involved with what we need to do at that point in time.
This would help us to certainly be on track and not deviate from our work irrespective of the external situation and reactions!
What has been your experience?
Well, with lots of us working from home and unable to set a clear boundary between work and family time and our break time, we tend to overwork.
This could have led to burnout and making us less productive.
But how can we overcome that?
Well, for a start
What do you do to enjoy a day?
Do you spend time with family or watch movies or read a book or go cycling or go shopping with friends or paint or cook?
It could be anything!
Why do we take the support of an external activity or event to enjoy a day?
This should make you ponder….
Is it possible to enjoy a day without doing anything?
The answer is YES!
The sheer joy of being alive and being receptive to the moment is a day well spent.
You don’t need an external event or things or people to make you joyful. …
What does Joy mean to you?
Is it a fleeting moment in your life? Or are you always joyful?
As a child, no matter the situation we would always be joyful. Even though we would be cranky at times, the joy of life and being receptive to life was always evident.
Why do we count the moments of Joy now as an adult?
I have realized it the hard way and it has taken quite some years to gain this perception.
But now I am always joyful and in a state of balance no matter the situation.
At times I feel, what changed within me but I can’t quite pin point and say this is it!
Yoga and Meditation has helped me in a huge way and continues to do so everyday!
Are you Joyful everyday every moment?
Have you experienced the Power of Networking?
I have been an Introvert and I was shy to initiate conversations let alone took to a bunch of people.
But the jobs and projects I handled exposed me to a new side of myself. I turned out to be bold and outspoken on the topics to be discussed. This was something I wasn’t expecting!
I have realized that, my intention is to communicate clearly to the person at the other end and make him understand my view point and also acknowledge what the other person has to say. This isn’t about agreeing to what everyone says. …
It is quite a loaded word!
Building and gaining trust is of utmost importance in any relationship or business or in any equation.
But today, I want to talk about trusting the working of the universe.
That may sound lame but it all boils down to trusting yourself!
You are in a better position to trust others or look into your instincts as long as you can trust the person that you are.
I have realized that through working on my self, in my inner journey.
You see the beauty of the world when beauty shines within you.
You trust the world, when you can trust yourself. …
